Search Within- Food for Thought!

Once an elderly man got into a First Class compartment in a train. The train was absolutely empty. He was little scared and started looking outside to see whether someone comes for company. A young lad got into the compartment. The man was relieved.

Seeing the face of the man, the young man enquired "What happened? Why are you looking tensed?"

The man replied " I have Rs. 10,000 in my suitcase and was worried how to travel alone." The young man replied " Don't worry. I am here."

The young man started planning to steal the money and get down. As it was night travel, they started sleeping. It was past midnight. The young man first planned to build trust in the elderly man. So, he informed him to take care of his belongings while he visits the rest room. When he came back he found the man sleeping and was relieved. He started searching the suitcase of the elderly man. There were only old clothes and a few books in it. The young man felt dejected and went off to sleep. It was morning and the train was approaching the destination.

The elderly man got up and said, " Thanks young lad." The young man was confused. The man continued "....for taking care of my money. " The man was taken aback. The elderly man said, " In the night when you went off to sleep, I had kept my money in your bag. Now I have taken it."

Like the young man, many of us forget to search for our capabilities and potentials within us, and when we see others succeed we feel surprised on their success and even feel jealous at times!
